If a kidney stone fails to pass on it own after a few weeks, your urologist may decide to help the stone along by performing one or more the following procedures listed below (more pages to be added). But if your like me, and you don't like the idea of lithotripsy or any of the other procedures, I would beg the urologist to wait a little longer for the stone to pass on its on its own unless your in a lot of pain.
